New from KA is this 922r-compliant replacement piston for SKS. This unit is also improved over the factory part in its two-piece composite design which couples a durable tool steel shaft with a hardened, corrosion- resistant stainless piston head. This combination allows the piston to be extremely durable and easy to clean. The piston is also machined to accept two special piston rings to increase the sealing of the piston to the gas tube. This ensures positive cycling in all environments and temperatures. This also helps the SKS-M cycle reliably with current ammo. The shorter gas tube and stroke can make the SKS-M tempermental with certain ammunition. The KA-SK01A and rings allow the rifle to cycle more positively. |
