Q: How often should I clean my KA muzzlebrake?
A:
Although all KA muzzlebrakes are designed to be relatively
self-cleaning, it is advisable to clean them every 250 rounds for
shotguns and every 500 rounds for rifles.

Q: Do I really need to drill the divots in the barrel to install the
brake or can I just clamp the setscrews down on the barrel?
A:
Although a lot of people are hesitant to put divots in their
barrels, it is important to do so to ensure that the brake or
breacher has a solid connection with the barrel. The friction lock
of setscrews alone won’t handle the pressures and forces
subjected to the brake. The KA-1212 series of brakes can be
removed, but they are intended as a permanently installed
attachment.

Q: I have a shotgun that I want to install a brake/breacher on, but
I don’t see my model listed in the catalog. How do I get one?
A:
Although KA-1212 brakes are generally made for the more
common shotgun models, they can be special ordered to fit any
barrel.
Contact the order department with the following info:
• Muzzle outside diameter (+/- .001”)
• Muzzle inside diameter (+/- .001” )
• Shotgun model and gauge
• Request w/setscrews or without (gunsmith installation)
